ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hi! My name is Shmuel and I'm a landscape photographer from Israel with a passion for discovering new, beautiful sites in Israel and telling their story through my photography. Every hilltop, valley, field, and view in our homeland holds a story buried deep within and I want to share that with you through an amazing viewing experience. Whether it's a path that King David himself likely walked upon or a view of the sunset that the Maccabees watched, I'm here to unearth Israel's secrets for you to enjoy and carry with you, wherever you go. This mission became even more personal during the recent war, as I’ve served in five rounds of combat reserve duty in the IDF — in Gaza and across Yehuda V’Shomron (the West Bank). Protecting the land while photographing its beauty deepened my commitment to sharing it with the world.
Through these screensavers, I’m not just sharing images — I’m sharing the story of Israel.

MISSION
My mission is simple:
To bring the beauty, depth, and story of Israel into your everyday life.
It all started over 12 years ago when I began photographing the trails, hills, and ancient sites I loved — on my Galaxy S2. What started as casual photos soon became something deeper. Every time I went out to shoot, I felt a pull to uncover the story behind the place.
Over time, my photography improved — but more importantly, the purpose behind it sharpened. I wasn’t just capturing pretty sunsets or wildflowers. I was photographing places like the Valley of Elah, where David fought Goliath… the ruins of rebel towns where Bar Kochva’s fighters held their ground… and the same hilltops once ruled by kings mentioned in the Bible.
Through my lens, I realized I was sharing something that most people never get to see for themselves: the real, raw, breathtaking land of Israel — and the stories carved into its soil.
When the 2023 Gaza War broke out, I was called up for reserves. And then again. And again. Being on the front lines defending this land and our people changed something in me. It deepened my purpose. It reminded me why this work matters — why the world needs to see not just what we’re fighting for, but why this land is, and always has been, ours.
